The IPSC Pan-American Shotgun Championship July 29 - August 1, 2010
The Rockcastle Shooting Center at Park Mammoth Resort is the proud host of the
2010 IPSC Pan American Shotgun Championship. The main match is scheduled for July 29th - August 1st 2010, and a pre-match that will take place on July 27th and 28th for Match Officials, Match Sponsors, and IPSC Officials.
The 2010 Pan American Shotgun Championship is a Level IV IPSC match, and is only the second Level IV match to be hosted in the United States. IPSC Shotgun is a tactical/ defensive style of shooting, where the competitors will engage a wide variety of targets and be required to shoot more than 350 rounds of shotgun ammunition through 30 stages set in natural terrain.
The competitors of the 2010 IPSC Shotgun Championship will come to Park City, Kentucky from all over the world. More than 150 of them will come from the Pan American countries, with Brazil, the United States, and Canada making up the bulk of these competitors and teams. The balance of the competitors and teams will come from all over Europe, Asia, and as far away as Australia.
There will be sponsor exhibits and activities near the Lodge at Park Mammoth Resort for visitors, spectators, and competitors. The opening ceremonies for the event will be held at 17:00 CST on July 28th, and are sure to be an event worth attending for anyone.
